You Can Lose More Than You Expect
Trading with leverage means a small movement in the market produces a large movement in your account, in both directions. Losses can reach the whole of your deposit, and in some products you can owe more than you put in. Only trade with money whose loss would not change how you live.
Automation Does Not Remove Risk
Sydrix follows the rules you set, accurately and without hesitation. It cannot make a losing strategy profitable, and it cannot know something the market does not. Software is better than a tired person at following a plan. It is not better than the market.
Prices Can Move Past Your Stop
A stop level is an instruction to close a trade, not a promise about the price you will get. In fast markets, around news, or when trading is thin, a trade can close well beyond the level you set. This is called slippage, and it happens to every platform.
Leverage And Margin
Leverage lets you control a position larger than the money you have set aside for it. That amplifies gains and losses equally, and the losses are the half that matters here. A small adverse move in the market can eliminate a large share of your balance.
If the value of your account falls below the margin required to hold your positions, the provider holding your account may close those positions without asking you first. This can happen at a loss, and it can happen while you are asleep.
Market Risk
Prices move for reasons nobody can fully predict: interest rate decisions, employment figures, elections, company results, and events with no warning at all. A method that has worked for a long time can stop working, and there is no way to know in advance that it has.
Crypto markets trade every day of the year, including weekends and public holidays, and they can move sharply when liquidity is thin.
Volatility And Gapping
Prices do not always move smoothly from one level to the next. They can jump, leaving no opportunity to close a trade at the level you intended. This is most common overnight, over a weekend, and immediately after a major announcement.
Technology And Execution Risk
An automated platform depends on software, on your internet connection, and on the systems of the provider executing the trades. Any of those can fail. An outage can prevent a position being opened or closed at the moment that mattered most.
Internet connectivity problems, power failures and faults at any point in the chain are outside our control and outside the control of any platform.
Past Performance
Any chart, result or example showing what happened previously describes the past. It is not evidence about what happens next. A method with a strong record can lose money for a long stretch, and the length of that stretch is not knowable in advance.
No Financial Advice
Sydrix is a technology platform. We are not a licensed financial adviser, we do not know your circumstances, and nothing on this website is personal or general advice about whether trading suits you.
If you are unsure whether trading is appropriate for your situation, speak to a licensed adviser who can take your full circumstances into account before you commit any money.
Third Party And Counterparty Risk
Your funds and your trades sit with a third party financial services provider rather than with us. The terms you agree to are theirs. If that provider fails or becomes insolvent, recovering your funds depends on their arrangements and on the protections that apply to them, not on us.
Before You Start
Ask yourself three questions. Can you afford to lose the money you are considering? Do you understand the product you are trading? Would a loss change how you pay your bills?
If the answer to the last one is yes, the amount is too large. That test costs nothing and it is more useful than any chart.
